Manual Journal sync from Xero to Salesforce
The Manual Journal sync allows journals created in Xero to be automatically reflected in Salesforce. This ensures financial data stays consistent across both platforms without the need for manual updates.
How it works
1. Create a Manual Journal in Xero
- Log in to your Xero account.
- Go to Accounting → Manual Journals.
- Click New Journal and fill in the required details such as date, description, accounts, debit, and credit amounts.
- Save the journal in Xero.
2. Automatic Sync to Salesforce
- Once the journal is saved in Xero, it will be automatically synced to Salesforce within approximately 15 minutes.
- The integration fetches all new or updated manual journal records from Xero and updates Salesforce accordingly.
3. Controlling Manual Journal Sync
- If you do not want manual journals from Xero to be synced to Salesforce, navigate to the SFX Setup Tab. Click the Sync Configuration button, where you will find an option to enable or disable manual journal sync.
- If the button is disabled, newly created journals in Xero will not be synced to Salesforce.
- If you wish to start syncing journals again, simply enable the button. This feature gives you immediate control over which manual journal entries are imported into Salesforce via integration settings.
4. View journal entries in Salesforce
- In Salesforce, navigate to the Transactions/Unmatched Invoice/Bills tab and Tran/Unmatched Invoice/Bill object where you can view synced journals.
- You can view the synced journal details such as journal date, narration, description, status, debit and credit.
